Well here's something interesting for you to think about while you're bored at school/work:

 

A relative of mine told me about this creamery where they make their ice cream with liquid nitrogen. I went to check it out, the wait was long and it was noisy, but the ice cream had a different texture than normal, but in a good way. It's called 'Creamistry' and I've heard it's only store is in Irvine, CA, where I live. Here's the website in case you want to check it out: http://creamistry.com/

It tasted pretty good, but because I live in 'Murica they gave huge portions, so it's sitting in the freezer and will be sitting in the freezer for the next 4 weeks probably. Gotta love 'Murica :D

Hm, this is pretty 'cool'. I would want to try it. I had never heard about making icecream with liquid nitrogen, I always thought that was for keeping produce cool and fresh during transport, so this was a nice new usage of it. 

Also, the companys name: Creamistry. Yay for that name, I'm a sucker for puns...

Yeah, I do. I've been going on this forum everyday since November 2012, so I'm pretty sure I know you guys pretty well. 

I think that's how Dippin' Dots are made.

Hate to bump somewhat oldish threads, but I had Liquid Nitrogen icecream for the first time today, and I must say it was really nice. It was much creamier and better tasting than regular icecream, and the guy literally made an entire batch in under a minute, amazing really. 

 

If you ever get the chance to try it, go for it, it's definitely worth trying. 

This is interesting, i'd love to try it along with deep fried ice cream!

Yep, definitely tastes better since it's not full of preservatives and all that other crap that goes into regular icecream.
