So I downloaded GTA IV from steam installed LCPD:FR. Everything was working for awhile then i got FatalERROR RESC10. I erased all the files and re downloaded everything but now when I start up the game it just closes GTA before I can do anything.

 

I have windows 8 and a brand new computer.

    Make sure that you are running the game with the administrative rights by going to GTA IV/EFLC folder, right click on GTAIV.exe/EFLC.exe, select 'Properties' then 'Compatibility' and enable option 'Run this program as administrator', launch the game.
