So i have a small issue... Whenever I push up to pull the phone out it nothing happens. I tried switching the button for it to see if that was the issue but still nothing. Anyone have any ideas? I have all the trainer keys disabled so I know that isn't the issue.

Hmm. Did you upgrade the game to a new version? Did you have any new downloads ? New downloads for mods, versions etc. And is it just your phone or is there anything else that is having an error?

I notice that upon going On Police Duty, The phone some times becomes inactive...But restarting the game fixed this issue for me. o.o

Just a thought but I believe in the latest version, the phone is disabled by scripting and going back off duty turns it back on. This may be incorrect but this is what may be happening to yours mate.

This is another problem, It's not the game i'll tell you that for a fact JPW. Its the version you downloaded latley or new recent downloads that patches the game differently in a non-safe material way. That causes in-game errors.

You might want to check your latest Downloads, Versions, and things like that to make sure it is safe.

That indicates to me that he is running 0.95 beta 1 as my game is the same and viewing the console log shows that the phone gets disabled upon loading into LCPDFR 0.95 beta 1. At least that is what I believe is happening.

I guess we shall need to wait for jpw to return and post again with more detail.

Apart from the first sentence, I also have no idea what you are trying to say in your second line of text. It seems you're telling me (I think) that he is not having the problem he has stated he has, that it is being caused by malicious downloads or patches and for him to check his download folder to ensure he hasn't installed a virus?

By all means, feel free to correct me if I am wrong but that is how I am deciphering what you've typed.

Are you talking about "PhoneChecksDisabled?" I believe this message will show up on 0.91 or 0.95, I remember seeing this a lot. As far as I remember, I have no problems with using the in game phone.

So even when I am not on duty I still cant use it. It hasnt worked since I installed the game a couple months ago, so it happened way before 0.95 came out. Synergize, I do not have any other errors that go on with it just the phone. Is there a way you can get into multi player without using the phone?

Only if you get a Friend "play" invite via Games for Live, You can access it wita Games for Live ingame.

No, multiplayer works fine in 1.0.7.0. Only using Xlive will kill multiplayer (kills Games for Windows Live).

ohhh that makes sense. So then I would have to take Xlive and the trainer or whatever runs off Xlive out?

Switch to dsound.dll instead.

And then remove xlive.

Alright so the problem has been solved it was the Xlive that was keeping me from opening the phone. Thanks everyone for the help!
