Different Vehicle, Different Siren?

Featured Replies

Hey everyone, I was just throwing out the idea or if anyone knows any mods that enable you to put different sirens on different vehicles.

Like how in most cases, fire engines don't have the same sirens as police cars, and ambulances may have different sirens, ect.

So while you may roll in your cruiser with a rumbler siren, you can get into a fire engine with a Q siren.

Just a thought  :smile:

Oh that would be awesome. Sadly i don't think its possible D';

If you are willing to edit a Horns.ivaud file in OpenIV or IVaud, you can do this with ELS V7. In the ELS configuration file, there are settings to disable siren tones for each vehicle.

Open one Horns.ivaud file, export the tones you want to replace into the other, edit the final Horns.ivaud file with the tones you want, replace your edited horns.ivaud file with the one in resident.rpf, then edit the ELS configuration file.

However, there is no way to remove the primary tone from the configuration file, so you will have the primary tone on the edited vehicle with whatever tone you configured it to as a secondary tone.
