Skin Advice - URGENT

Featured Replies

Hello everybody. Last night I was probably the most ambitious I have ever been, and I really wanted to release a fictional skin. I had it all drawn out in my mind, and I stayed up till about 2AM to finish it.

Once it was done, I saw it hadn't turned out how I imagined it would. I am asking for your advice, which skin you would prefer, if you were to use one.

This is the one I thought up in my mind, I still like it but thought it looked a little plain. :-(

CONSTRUCTIVE CRITICISM IS OF COURSE ALLOWED, BUT PLEASE BE POLITE, AND CHOOSE WHICH YOU PREFER WITH THE ADVICE.

Thanks!

NOTE* You can't see the detail very well with these pictures. The stripes and words have an outline that make them pop.

You need to add small things that almost all departments have on their rigs like American flag stickers, yellow support ribbons, different unit numbers, DARE bumper stickers, etc...

Thanks everyone.

and

try black with white front doors and white roof

I was going for a full white/blue theme. But thanks for the advice!

Do you think I should put the unit number on the top of the front quarter panels, or the bottom-right of the back doors?

Yea was thinking the samething it's the little stuff that helps make the car: badges, unit number, flags, 911 stickers, etc..

Thank you!

i think the all white looks nice. but why does it seem blurry or out of focus. is that your graphics settings or what? what are you using to make the skins. if you need help making skins let me know.. ive made a skin pack an i think it looks real nice. but who knows everyone has there own opinion. check out my texture pack i released.

The reason it looks a bit blurry is because that is not the full resolution -- I re-sized the picture. The skins are fully HQ skins, it's just the picture that makes it look blurry.

Someone told me to use a free program call fraps for pics but it saves them a a bmp if you don't want to buy the program. I just open them in paint and re-save it as a jpeg and post.

I think a unit number on the roof would also look nice.  Maybe outline everything in black like the second skin.  I really like both of them pushing more towards the two toned.  And you can still add the black hood like the Alaska State troopers for a HWP version

I like the first one. Maybe add a dial 911 or Emergency 911 somewhere and a badge or something. Most of the things you could add have been mentioned already.

That's exactly what I did. :-) Check them out!

I prefer the white one.

I think it looks a bit strange with a fully black hood and then the rest is white.
