Sony Vegas 12 Pro - YouTube Render Settings

Featured Replies

Right,

I've been trying out some different render settings for 1080p HD gamplay videos.  I've been told that .mp4 is the best format to render as.  However, the in some parts of the video seem to briefly pixelate, is this to do with the actual render settings or the format to render as?

What render settings would you recommend to achieve the best quality videos, with a not too large file size and a not too long render times (obviously I'm making 30min videos so render times aren't going to be really quick)

Thanks

I use these settings (I don't upload on Youtube but it's compatible) :

-- see attached image --

It's in SonyAVC/MVC category, pick one of them and then customize it. Output is MP4 of course.

It's the best setup for Dailymotion, and it should be close to the best one for Youtube too.

Real HD without artefacts, but with a well-balanced file size.

Don't forget to adapt the frame frequency (ips/fps) from the one of the source video !

I mean, if your recorded video is in 30fps, then render the final video in 30fps.

And Youtube has a quick documentation about encoding :
