Does anybody know of a detective script that I could get a link to? If there is not a detective script, who thinks that there should be a detective script. I think that it would be a really cool add-on to LCPD:FR.

There isn't one for GTA IV at the moment.

 

Otherwise, if you want a good detective game, play L.A. Noire. It's published by R* Games (the creators of GTA) and it's a sandbox game as well. That's close as you can get.

 

 

It's LCPD First Response, not LCPD Detectives. You will never see a detective mod that comes with LCPDFR. Someone else might decide to make it though - but it will take a long time and hard work to make.

This. The focus of LCPD:FR is and always will be to let you play as a regular patrol officer - a first responder. That's why playing as SWAT doesn't trigger SWAT callouts. That's why there won't be a detective mode.
