Guns not working

Featured Replies

I finally got GTA to play lag free but now my guns aren't working! I've tried changing what weapons I have in my trainer, I've tried using the 227-555-0100 cheat code but my character never has any weapons - it's almost like they've been removed from the game!

Anyone know what I should do?

Have you modded your weapons.img? E.g. replaced a M4 with a custom M4 for example? Also have you edited the weaponinfo.xml file?

Nope, not done any of those things. I'm stumped.

Hmm, do you have the weapons.img file in "Grand Theft Auto IVpcmodelscdimages"? And do you have the "WeaponInfo.xml" file in "Grand Theft Auto IVcommondata"?

Ooh, I'm missing the WeaponInfo.xml file! How would I get the file?

  • Solution

Those files are for version 1.0.4.0, I'm on 1.0.7.0 - I can't find the file online anywhere :(

Well then, theres one option left... But it will make the weaponinfo.xml custom, which means it isnt the original one...

Download a mod like this: http://www.gta4-mods.com/weapons/gta-iv-realistic-weapon-damage-pack-f10771 or http://www.gtagarage.com/mods/show.php?id=10913 or any mod that contains the weaponinfo.xml file, like you can see those mods will give you the weaponinfo.xml file but the weapons have realistic damage and so on.. I rather would install one of those mods than reinstall the game :P And it actually makes the game more realistic
