ELS V7 causes game to crash

Featured Replies

I downloaded ELS V7 and moved all appropriate files to their loactions, changed everything to 'ON' and it is still causing my game to crash. It will load up to the Start screen, then start loading and then go right back to my desktop. No error message, no anything... Any suggestions?? The game works fine without that ASI file. I've downloaded it multiple times and still nothing. Any help would be appreciated...

What is your PC specs?

What other mods do you have installed?

Have you used/installed previous ELS versions?

Do you have LCPDFR installed?

Intel Core i7. Windows 7 Professional. 4 GB Ram. It's a Macbook Pro 15", I know it's terrible for gaming- but it's what I have for now.

Only cars in Police, Police 2, Nstockade, Polpatriot

Yes, ELS V6 worked fine- never a problem.

I did, uninstalled LCPDFR and tried again, didnt help

I was actually able to get ELS V7 to stop making my game crash by changing my vehicles.img file out for the default one and subsequently adding in only ELS cars.

Wait wait wait, i dont want to hijack this topic but i have same problem, and have some non els cars installed, could that be the problem?

Note> My game only crashes after 10 - 20 mins, and before i could b eplaying with ELS V6 without a crash for 2 - 3 hours....

It is worth a shot!  My game crashed immediately after the Broker safehouse loaded, though now it runs fine.  [Though I do have "unrecoverable fault" crashes from something I haven't figured out yet.  Not caused by scripts or ELS V7 for that matter.]

Your PC looks ok.

If you say you only have LCPDFR and a few modded police cars in game. It might be your save game file?  Have you played LCPDFR and than after saved game? This could cause your game to reject you.  if you have another save file slot you can load from try doing so.

Also, i think someone already suggested this but try uninstalling ELS 6 and than install ELS 7 fresh.

Make sure when or if you edit the config file for ELS you keep it with a config at the begging an example: default_config would need to be slicktop_config or ambulance_config. Just throwing this out there incase it will help. This was a fix for me crashing once:)
