Texture Loss with Vehicle Mods

Featured Replies

Hey, I have a problem which quite frankly I am very confused about...

I have been running police car mods for a long time on my old laptop and now my new PC without any problems.

However, now that I have started putting in civilian vehicle mods as well I have started getting texture loss, with as little as 8 additional vehicle mods installed. Now I know texture loss is a common thing when modding and I would understand why it was happening if I was on a low end system, but I will post my specs below and let you all decide if this is normal for a system like mine...

i5 3570K @ 4GHz

EVGA GTX 680 FTW+ 4GB

16GB DDR3 1600MHz Corsair Vengeance.

Other mods:

LCPDFR

Policing Script

VdH Police Helper

ELS V6

Police Car mods in every slot (Rockstar Low poly Vanilla models upgraded to ELS)

ENB LE3VO 8-7 (No AA)

What confuses me most is that I see other people running full car packs on 500 and 400 series GPU's and half as much Graphics memory.

I should also mention that I am using version 1.0.7.0 on the Steam version, so I don't know if downgrading to 1.0.4.0 would help?

Any solutions or help would be greatly appreciated!

Try to restore back the original civilians cars, and put the modded cars one by one, you'll see if one of them causes the bug or if you can handle 8 cars or less.

Don't downgrade your GTA IV version, LCPDFR will not work under 1.0.7.0 <- EDIT : I mean with a patch lesser than 1.0.7.0, sorry, rusty english.

PS : "Police Car mods in every slot (Rockstar Low poly Vanilla models upgraded to ELS)"

If you can PM me links for all those cars, it'll be greatly appreciated, I'm trying to complete a vanilla ELS fleet on one of my GTA IV, but I only have police1 police2 and fib, thanks.

Try using a commandline-heres mine:

-notimefix
-noprecache
-framelimit 30
-novblank
-percentvidmem 100
-availablevidmem 100.0
-nomemrestrict
-noprecache
-norestrictions
-noswapdelay
-renderquality 4
-shadowdensity 0
-viewdistance 0
-detailquality 100
-shadowquality 3
-reflectionquality 4
-reflectionresolution 2048
-shadowresolution 2048
-waterquality 0
-waterreflectionquality 5
-fullspecaudio
-dx10
/high

If it helps, here is my commandline.txt as well :

-memrestrict XXXXXXXXXXX
-reservedApp 0

How to calculate the memrestrict you have to put : look in the graphics settings menu how many MB the game use.

Multiply the nearest superior value by 1112, double time. Example, if you are using 618mb :

700*1112*1112 = 865 580 800 ---> so you put 865580800 in memrestrict.

I got this tip from the AmazingGTA visual enhancement readme, and it works for me.

You can also try the 1st trick of it worked quite well for me, reversed method cause I have an ATI.

PS : thanks for the PM
