Skins installation : Illiterate

Featured Replies

Not very good with the whole program files here, I try to follow the readme on most of the skins I have downloaded however is there any post on this forum or topic in which has a step by step guide to install skins and how to use everything properly?

Would appreciate any advice.

Thanks

Mat

Vehicles skins ? Look at this video. You need SparkIV or OpenIV.

For pedestrians skins, it's globally the same thing but in the componentpeds.img archive instead of vehicles.img.

If you still don't understand, post here one of the readme and I'll try to explain deeper.

EDIT : another video

And you are again in the wrong section, you should have posted here.

Have you a legit copy (not pirated) of the game ?

Is it a Steam version or something else ?

GTA IV should be installed here for 64bits

C:Program Files (x86)Rockstar GamesGrand Theft Auto IV

And here for 32bits

C:Program FilesRockstar GamesGrand Theft Auto IV

Steam version should be in C:Program Files (x86)SteamSteamAppscommonGrand Theft Auto IV (or GTA IV)

reason for edit : fix steam path

Okay that video is forsure helpful, however I have now downloaded Spark IV and its asking me to located the

gtaiv.exe file and I can't seem to do so.

I just purchased this from Steam today.

So SparkIV should ask you where is the installation folder, browse or copy the path, as mentionned above the Steam path is different.

If it doesn't work you can also try OpenIV which is a similar tool to SparkIV.
