GTA IV FATAL ERROR: Out of Video momory - Please reboot your System. All from my mods.

Featured Replies

Hello! My computer can run GTA 4 perfectly fine without any mods installed. But once I install all of the mods I use, I get this error is less than 3 minutes in game.

My mods I use are:

BF3 gun sounds,

Improved Cop v 1.0

LCPDFR .95 RC2

SNT v65

Auto plate reader v1.5

ELS v6

Indicator script v1

Pedestrian realism mod

Braveheart script 2.4.2

P.S.S Speed reader.

Traffic flow v5 r2

VDH Medical examiner and its speedos and body bags.

VDH Police helper 1.1.0a

VDH Towing service v2.0.0

Can anybody tell me why it always comes up with fatal error?

That is why you should install one at a time and play it for a bit, especially a new mod, so you know what works and what doesn't.  In fact, you should go back to the vanilla LCPDFR and install one mod, then play for a bit, then install the next and do the same.  It can be time consuming at first, but once you know what works you shouldn't need to test that mod any longer.

Also, some high-poly ELS car mods will crash your game.  If having issues, don't mod police-police4 slots, just mod the FBI or Noose slot and keep the cars that spawn as non-els low-mid poly cars only.  That will help tremendously.  I only use the super high quality ELS police cars in two slots, Noose and nStockade, those slots don't spawn very often.  I mod the other police slots with low/mid poly non-els cars only.

Friday I can do some testing, but the only cars I replace are Police1 and Police 2 and Police Patriot. The cars aren't too high end, just these,

Not exactly low poly...those cars are almost 4meg wft file and 3meg texture file....I'd say high-poly.  Try and mod Noose, police3, police4 or Nstockade...cars that do not spawn that often.  Leave police and police2 as low poly non-els.  That will help alot.

There is a thread somewhere, it's pinned in the mod section I think, that has all the low poly non-els and els cars.  Also, you can go to the download section and select non-els cars (right-hand side web panel).  There you'll find all the non-els low, mid and high poly cars on this website.  There is a nice non-els car right on the "Featured" download section as well.

Just try modding the Noose slot with ELSv7, and if that works, add another to the nStockade or pStockade slots (just point nStockade handling id to police or police2 and change the vehicle "game name"  to a car you like).

Good day,
