i was at the final page of the installation and it said installation failed

i have the fully updated version of GTA IV

i have no mods installed yet, i was just trying to install first response version 9.5 when it crashed

any help at all is greatly appreciated!

it still gave me the same error message

Go to your GTA IV directory (either Rockstar Games or in the Steam folder - depending on how you purchased it) and right click the GTA IV folder. Click Properties and click the box next to "Read-only" so that it is empty.
