Cars floating away?

Featured Replies

I was working my way through the campaign in order to get out of Dukes/Broker and move into the Algonquin apartment. I tried both the mission where you take Lyles car for Brucie and the one where you overlook Packie with the sniper rifle. In both instances the wheels would disappear and the car float off. How do I fix this? This occasionally happens to AI cars while patrolling as well.

I'm running:

  • LCPDFR (obviously)
  • EVCS Public Beta,
  • Bravehearts policing script
  • Area Livery Mod
  • Police Helper
  • Traffic Flow
  • Towing
  • Coroner
  • (these are just what I can remember off the top of my head I'm at work right now there might be one or two more)

I've ran into a lot of problems playing campaign with mods installed in the game. Unfortunately, the only fix I can offer is to uninstall every mod, play up to where you want to be in the campaign, and re install them all.

If you are doing the campaign because you want to, then do what MTen said, just play up to where you want and then install the mods again, although you could try taking Traffic Flow script out. But if you're doing it just to unlock the islands then all you have to do is download the Simple Trainer from GTA4-Mods and open it up in game and press F3 then go to "Options" then click where it says "Unlock Map." Then you can have access to the entire map.

So essentially all I would need to do is export my scripts folder temporarily play to where I want and throw it back in?

Yes, just copy all your scripts and paste them somewhere other than your GTA folder, then delete the scripts in the GTA folder. Then when your ready to have them back in again then just drag them back in.
