Hello!
 

I decided to become a real member of LCPD:FR. So i want not to do cars and that stuff, i want to make real mods like the other Ones!

For the first i want to do lower Scripts e.g. The Indicator Script from Lil-rich and than i want to do bigger, more stable and better Mods! 

 

Now i need your Help! I need anybody who can tell and explain me how to do a Mod! The best is a video or so, but a message is also ok.

 

So please help me someone!

That would be nice.

The indicator script is actually a hard script for someone to do, as the secret behind making only one indicator flash at a time is still a secret.

The indicator script was considered impossible (or nearly so) by a lot of people before Lil-rich actually did it; I had to see it ingame before I believed he wasn't joking.

Thanks, and yes sadly only a small group of people know how to actually do it.

 

That thread is actually mostly how I got started, that and help from Grady Featherstone. I will warn you that thread is pretty outdated and some things have changed, but the majority of it is still sound, and it's a good place to start.

Also a good resource: the IRC channel #gtaivnetscripthook on freenode.

EDIT: Also, @OP: Car mods, ped mods, map mods, etc. are all also "real mods". They aren't also necessarily easier than scripts: I can script half-decently, but I could never model a car from scratch. Any sort of mod can be great with lots of care and attention put into it.

Question, these are many information but i dont know for what i can use all these thins e.g. int, float and so on!

And there are many words who idont know because im not a native speaker, im from germany! and Google.translate can really help, for example arrays!!

Its funny I think script mods are the hardest ones, too! Because you have to learn so much... Not easy!

int is a whole number such as int number 1; and so on, and also in to the negative. float is a decimal number such as float decimle 2.34; and so on (again also goes in to the negative), string is mixed characters, and has to be in quotations eg string hello "Hello World"; Double is another version of float, but as the name implies it can hold a higher number, but float is all you need to know about for now (I believe float and int are ~ 2 million in either direction of 0).
