Since you already did a clean reinstall, the game files themselves are fine. The issue is almost certainly a conflict with Windows, a background app, or the new anti-cheat.

Try these steps to get past that specific error screen:

• Turn off BattlEye: GTA V now has BattlEye anti-cheat built-in. If it's turned on, it will instantly block your mods and throw this exact "exited unexpectedly" error. Go to your game properties in Steam, Epic, or the Rockstar Launcher and disable BattlEye before launching LSPDFR.

• Go to Documents\Rockstar Games\GTA V and delete settings.xml. Also, turn off OneDrive sync for your Documents folder. OneDrive constantly locks these files, which triggers this specific crash.

• Open Windows Defender, go to your Protection History, and check if it recently blocked dinput8.dll or ScriptHookV.dll. If it did, restore the files and add your main GTA V folder to the antivirus exclusion list.

Turn off BattlEye first, as that is the number one reason for this exact screen right now. If it still crashes, upload your RagePluginHook.log file here so we can see the exact error line.

A new log file isn't appearing in the folder.

What did you change between the last log and now? If there is no log being generated then RPH isn't running at all. Make sure you have added both the game folder and RagePluginHook.exe as exceptions in Windows Security

My problem isn't just with RPH. The vanilla game launches with the same error.

Okay, next question: how do I uninstall GTA 5 so that, upon reinstalling it, it doesn't restore my LSPDFR, plugins, RPH, and other files from a backup? I uninstalled GTA 5 quite recently, but when I reinstalled it, all my old files came back.
