LCPDFR Freezing after re-install plus other issues.

Featured Replies

Okay, so here's the deal.

GTA IV was setup and installed absolutely fine on my new gaming spec PC, it worked fine, I had ELS, LCPDFR and various other modifications installed.

Then yesterday night i went to play the game using the normal method of right clicking  on "launchgtaiv.exe" and selecting "Run in administrator mode". The game began the loading screen where the theme tune is played, just before the game gives you the menu where you can choose Start, Options, Live, Live Marketplace  the window went black and the game CTD'd , (Crashed To Desktop), now i thought this was a normal crash, however when it crashed to desktop there was no error message, it literally just crashed to desktop.

I re-installed LCPDFR and went to the local police station to go on duty, no sooner had i chosen a uniform and spawned on duty inside the on/off duty room the game froze completely. I re-tried this multiple times and every single time it froze. I re-tried it today and this keeps happening, on the second to last occasion the game began loading, froze, then crashed to desktop with the error indicating "out of video memory" now this is absolute rubbish. It had previously worked absolutely fine with my graphics card which can easily run GTA on medium settings with 30-40 fps.

So I made a clean re-install of GTA IV thinking this would resolve the issue, I re-installed everything, LCPDFR, GTA, the trainer, the policing script. On this occasion instead of going on duty at the police station which seemed to cause the freezes i figured i'd force duty, well that worked, then as soon as i loaded the trainer to spawn a vehicle the whole game froze, not just the trainer, the whole game.

So basically i'm now completely clueless as to what I can do to resolve this issue.

I made a clean re-install of GTA IV.

I re-installed all of the modifications to the game.

I'm using a commandline.txt file as attached below.

If anyone has any suggestions then i'd be grateful.

commandline.txt

Thought I'd also attach the diagnostics report.

It looks like a problem with your police helper by vdH.

Remove it and see if your GTA works then.

If it works re-download vdH Police Helper and re-install and see if it works.

Thanks for the suggestion, will give this a try and let you know how I get on.
