What is some good free video editing software that is not WIndows Live Movie Maker?

Well windows is the only option you have if you want a real good one that's free but if you want to get one that's paid (which I highly recommend if you're planing to make a lot of videos) I would suggest getting something from the Sony Vegas Pro series

I use Video Pad.

The free version of Bandicam isn't that bad

Windows live movie maker is good enough as a starter. Like they say, "You Get What You Pay For"
