An Arizona DPS Helicopter crashed in Flagstaff. Killing both crew members while they were responding to an Active Shooter Situation. 4th February 2026 at roughly 10 PM a DPS Ranger Helicopter(Bell 407) was dispatched to assist Flagstaff Police after an Officer Involved Shooting near the Historic Route 66. At 10:15 the Helicopter went down near the scene and both the pilot and the trooper paramedics sadly were killed in the accident. The cause of the crash remains unknown and is now being investigated.
