    The @lspdfrofficial Instagram is back!
After more than five years without any new posts, we've officially returned with weekly-ish uploads, kicking things off last Friday as part of our effort to revitalise our Instagram page.
It has been fantastic to see your screenshots in the gallery and the various media threads that many of you have created and contributed to over the years.
We want to give your creations the recognition they deserve and introduce them to a wider audience, whether they're long-time LSPDFR users or people discovering the community for the first time through their interest in LEO roleplay or GTA modifications.

From now on, we'll be regularly showcasing some of the incredible screenshots and media created by the community—including content from this thread and beyond—on our Instagram page.
If you haven't already, give us a follow at @lspdfrofficial and check out our latest post, featuring BunBoHue's showcase of Riverside Sheriff's Office (RSO) deputies gearing up for their weekend shift.

We look forward to seeing your uploads!

Thanks @Lennyy I agree and had planned to use the controller strictly for driving operations, then M&K for everything else, so your advice sounds right on target. I've found a simple, inexpensive XBOX controller that can either be wired or wireless, so I can test both and take my pick. I just really need better driving control because I'm a menace on the road otherwise. :) Thanks again!

Maybe it's just my simple opinion, but you're overthinking it. I own a PS5 and therefore use its shipped controller, but since you're going to buy one, I'd say go with a simple XBOX controller. It will probably give you the least trouble. Wireless depends on whether your PC supports bluetooth.

Since tons of plugins add tons of keys, I would still use my keyboard for anything non-driving related. As soon as I'd leave my car on a traffic stop or a callout, I'd put it on the desk or lap and switch to M&K.

I just started LSPDFR two weeks ago, using only KB & Mouse. Everything I'm reading and seeing on YT tells me a controller is best for driving, which I believe because I drive like a drunk monkey on KB. The question is, which controller?

See, I've been computer gaming for 40 years and have never used a controller. All sorts of joysticks, meeses, KB configs and flight yokes, yes. But never a controller. So I've been shopping and of course the choices are endless. Asking for advice, especially for me, the controller newbie.

That said, I just found the ManbaOne and it appeals to me for a few reasons 1) The included charging cradle; 2) The onboard configuration capability via a screen that minimizes/eliminates software config; 3) Video demos indicate good button control and feedback; 4) Wireless 5) Buttons seem to line up well with the configs in GTA/LSPDFR. I don't care about the fancy lighting and I'm not too price sensitive, so other more expensive option suggestions welcome.

    Thanks!

Greetings - I've never played GTA but bought it as soon as I found LSDPFR. I'm now two weeks in, struggling with all the setup but having a blast. Law Enforcement was my first career plan as a kid (over 50 years ago now,) but life took me elsewhere. This is a kind of fantasy wish fulfillment, and I'm excited to dig in and join the fun. Hope to rely on folks here for help and advice and comraderie, and to offer it back when I've got something valuable to say. Be Well!

Hi Chris - as you've been involved with LSPDFR so long, I'll look for your insights here, as I'm a complete newbie to it (not yet two full weeks) and excited to get involved. Having, as you do, deep gaming experience and now real street cred, You'l likely be a big asset. Be Well!

    Update required: UltimateBackup.

Unstable plugins: RealisticK9IntelligenceResponse, KucheraCallouts, VisualProbableCause. (May cause crashes)

Invalid GP Configurations plugins/LSPDFR/GrammarPolice/grammar/en-GENERIC Inside this folder, the listed files will likely be inside "Custom" Remove these files as their plugin is no longer installed: close road.xml.

These do NOT belong in GTA V/plugins/LSPDFR! Please reinstall them correctly into your main GTA folder > CalloutInterfaceAPI & Newtonsoft.Json.

You can try this if you haven’t tried it yet:
V-Sync: Turn it off. It can cause delays in texture loading.
Texture Quality: If it is set to "Very High," lower it to "High."
Distance Scaling & Population Variety: Reduce these sliders to 50%. These consume a lot of CPU power and memory in the downtown area.
