when I load up lspdfr configurator to accept the rageplugin it says it cannot be found

When you installed RPH did windows flag it at all? Double check that it is still present in your game folder

it did but the licensing automatically agreed and it is in my game folder but only opens as a notepad

What does? RagePluginHook.exe?

i just tried uninstalling and reinstalling when i get to rph it pulls up an error window that says it cannot find the file

Okay, and did windows defender flag it at all? Are the files still in your game folder?

I'm not sure how you managed to open RPH.exe as a text file, but you will have to fix that.

WARNING Editing the registry can be dangerous and can break parts of your system, be very careful.

Right click on the desktop create a new Text Document and paste this inside:

Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00

[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\FileExts.exe]

[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\FileExts.exe\OpenWithList]

[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\FileExts.exe\OpenWithProgids] "exefile"=hex(0):

Save it as exefix.reg.

Double click on exefix.reg. It should ask you if you want to add this into registry. Click ok.

Once complete, reboot your PC and windows should default to opening .exe's normally.
