LSPDFR on Mac with Parallels Desktop in 2025

Featured Replies

Hello everyone,

I was wondering if anyone here has recently (2024-2025) used LSPDFR on a Mac with Apple Silicon, specifically the new M4 chips, using Parallels Desktop + Windows 11 ARM.

I know this question has been asked before for older M1/M2 Macs, but performance and compatibility seem to be improving every year, so I'm curious about the current situation.

More specifically:

  • Is GTA V stable and smooth under Parallels Desktop on an M4 Mac?

  • Does LSPDFR work properly (RagePluginHook, scripts, callouts, etc.)?

I don't expect PC-level gaming performance, just something reasonably smooth and stable with moderate mods.

Any comments, benchmarks, or personal experiences would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance!

It’s stable but I wouldn’t call it smooth, and that’s on a M4 Max with 128Gb of RAM.

RPH complains about some dependencies not being found - see the FAQ in the LSPDFR support forum for a solution to that.

There is an in progress porting effort to make it work in Crossover - but it hit roadblocks and I haven’t looked it at in a while.

Also GTA V Enhanced will not work in Parallels or Crossover at the moment.

Hey, joining this thread.

I have GTA V on my M2 Pro through parallels, and first off, GTA V takes a good amount of trial and error and tweaking to get it working right, and yes, there still are smoothness issues. I did have a little bit more luck with smoothness on Crossover, but I heard that Mods are a little screwy there.

But that brought me to LSPDFR. This is where i'm banging my head against the wall: I have every single dependency, yet still I'm getting the error about the missing C++ redistributable. Any help is appreciated

Yes! Thank you very much. Finally got to play...super addictive game. 20 minutes of playing and i realize it's 5 AM and i've actually been playing for 5 hours.

Very much looking forward to seeing it work on Crossover!

Has anyone got it working on wine 🍷

AFAIK they're trying to figure out how to get it working on Crossover.

Just flagging for any other Parallels users that the newest update for Parallels will crash RPH and I don't know what the fix would be other than downgrading it. What's weird is that it was working for a second for me then just stopped. Either way, flagging that for anyone who needs to know.
