[ERROR] OpenIV.asi (related to mods folder)

Featured Replies

So, after years of playing without any mayor problems.. I made a huge mistake. So I reinstalled everything. GTA V, LSPDFR, and my mods that were working.

Now, when I remove OpenIV.ASI from my GTA V folder, my game start up normally. So I know it's my mods folder making the problem.

If I place back OpenIV.ASI, and my mods folder renamed to "_mods", my game crashes on startup.

So what can I do? Also, I don't know where to find all my installed mods on OpenIV in order to see which one could be causing this trouble.

Also idk if it helps, but my "update" folder from main directory, has 60gb on it. And the one in mods folder, 31gb.

Any help? Please.

I've been trying everything for the last 4 days! And I don't really want to re-install everything again.

Add OpenIV.asi back in. Have it crash. Then send the asiloader.log.

If I do that, my game won't open. It's says that the game it's already running. That was my initial problem.

If I remove dinput8.dll, the game crashes but leaves me in a infinite crash report. So I can't get the logs.

All this, with "mods" and the renamed "_mods"

I installed NVE recently. And I think I have every file up to date.

I am going to need you to try and get that log. As I can't do much without seeing it.

RagePluginHook_11072025_191715.log

1st one it's my most recent log.

2nd one it's from last time I did enter the game and actually walk around. (Without my OpenIV files that seems to be my problem)

Rename your mods folder to _mods. Make sure the OpenIV.asi is installed and run the game. See if it crashes.

So, at least the game opens. But it crashes and won't generate a crash report.

RPH says "insufficient permissions or bad anti-virus".

I played for years without any problem, seems that my mistake ruined all!

Now add the Main Directory to the exceptions list for your anti-virus. Then re-install manual LSPDFR and restart PC. If still getting that same error, follow pages 3-6 of the RPH FAQ.
