Will LSPDFR Still Support the Legacy Version & Mods After Enhanced Release?

Featured Replies

Hey everyone,

I’ve been keeping up with LSPDFR and RPH. With the plans to eventually support the Enhanced version, I was wondering will the Legacy version still be supported after the update?

Also, what about all the other mods that rely on LSPDFR? Will they continue to work on the Legacy version, or will they only work on the Enhanced version? I know a lot of players have setups with custom plugins, callouts, and scripts, so I’m curious how that transition will work.

Would love to hear any insights or official word on this!

Thanks!

I tried actually answering this question on the original topic. I basically said that we wouldn't want to maintain two versions.

How that works in practice depends on the burden, what Rockstar does and what our player base does.

If Rockstar continues to update legacy, the burden of support becomes higher. We then face a situation of having to work on two separate games effectively - and we already have limited time for one. Depending on the community response to enhanced probably dictates the future of LSPDFR. If everyone moves over to enhanced, there's not then much point on us working on legacy and duplicating effort. At the same time, I would mention that LCPDFR for GTA 4 remains playable to this day, even with the latest GTA 4 patches.
