Can't Pull Over Vehicles When Using Pro-ELS Police Units

Featured Replies

Hi,

I installed the Florida Highway Patrol vehicles and the Emergency Lighting System mod. However, I'm having trouble where I will drive behind a car and blip them successfully, but pressing J three times does not tell them to pull over.

I have double-checked that everything is up-to-date and installed correctly, and everything else works as expected; I just can't initiate traffic stops using Pro-ELS vehicles, and I've tested with non-ELS units, and those do let me pull over vehicles.

Here are the mods/plugins I use in no particular order:

• Better Hit Reactions
• Damage Tracking Framework
• KTFDO (Keep The F*ing Door Open)
• LSPD First Response
• CompuLite
• Deadly Weapons
• Grammar Police
• Police Smart Radio
• Stop The Ped
• Ultimate Backup
• Vocal Dispatch
• Automatic Siren Cutout
• Custom Pullover

There are also several callout plugins, but I doubt they interfere with the ability to pull over vehicles.

I've looked online, and a few people describe my exact issue[1][2][3] with ELS vehicles not pulling cars over, but none of them seem to have a solution that worked, so I was checking here.

Could it be that your addon vehicles are unable to pull vehicles over?

I speculated this, so I joined their official Discord and contacted their support team. They can pull vehicles over using their FHP vehicles while I am seemingly unable to. I opened the vehicles.meta file, and they each have the FLAG_LAW_ENFORCEMENT and FLAG_EMERGENCY flags, as well as any other necessary flags since I closely compared the FHP vehicles to non-ELS vehicles that do work.

Update: I tested the 2020 FPIU Valor mod as an add-on vehicle, and surprisingly, their police unit allowed me to pull over vehicles. Since the support team noted they could pull over vehicles, there may be an inconsistent issue with the FHP vehicles, but I've informed their support team of this development, and I'll stay in touch with the cause if possible.

Update 2: Further testing shows that some FHP vehicles can pull over vehicles, so it's likely a vehicle bug that needs fixing. Once the support team fixes it, I'll try to put the root cause here in case anyone else has my issue.

Update 3: This is fairly broad, but the support team responded and stated that the affected vehicles were not acting as police vehicles because there wasn't a light setting set for the police units.
