Advised mods and PC specs

Featured Replies

Hi everyone,

Firstly, i'd like to get people's opinions on whether my PC will run GTA 4 on high graphics with multiple mods installed.

My PC is a custom built VIBOX machine. It has;

-1 TB HDD

-16GB RAM

-Quad Core 4.4GHZ proccessor

-Radeon HD6670 2GB dedicated Graphics Card.

Secondly, I'd like some advice on some good mods to download that will work well together.

In addition to a main policing mod (calls, backup, pulling over etc.) I also like the look of some other mods I have seen such as the K-9 mod, the taser mod and a few others.

Do all mods work together? If not, which would be teh best setup, in your opinion, that would incorporate as many different mods as possible?

Thanks in advance!

The computer is great but nowadays Hard Disk Drives can be very slow. You should see if you could get an Solid State Drive, maybe around 60-180 GB (for your OS, your computer starts up much faster and the OS is faster, and files on the SSD will also read/write faster)

And for mods, it depends on what you really want. I use:

Bravehearts Policing 2.3

Simple Native Trainer 6.4

Flashlight 4 Weapons

Spotlight

ALPR

Area Livery Mod

Speed radar script

Strobes mod

TrafficFlow (you need this or you'll get the taxi bug with vehicles)

vdH PoliceHelper

vdH Towing Service

vdH k-9 mod

Indicator mod

As for vehicles/uniforms it's really up to you... I prefer Non-ELS as there's no godmode on vehicles, or glitch doors + cars spawning with random lights on. But again ELS is visually more realistic. I also found that after switching to Non-ELS I crash a lot less. Plus ELS is very slow on other players in MP.

awesome thanks a lot! I saw the adviced mod just after I posted this question and the immense list was quite daunting! Thanks to Chamimnya for a more refined list of great mods that work together. I will probably use the exact same mods and see how i get on as im not that adept at game modding and trying to figure out which ones match just seems like a handful. Thanks!!
