Direct3D

Featured Replies

I created a thread before about this... My graphics card driver was updated and now GTA 4 lags like hell. I downgraded the driver and now my problem is the same.

I think my problem is Direct 3d when i press the ` button in game it comes up,

Direct3D Device Created

Direct3D Device Lost

Direct3D Created.

Before i never had this show up... So is there any way i can disable it so it doesn't come up?

I have this also pop up for me but it doesn't make mine crash I followed these steps and seemed to help if your graphics card is nvidia try that.

Go to The nVidia Control Panel and go to Manage 3d settings
Then turn Anisotrophic Filtering OFF
and set Antialiasing Transparency to Multi Sampling
Antialiasing Setting to 2x
Texture Filtering Quality to High Performance
Texture Filtering -Trilinear Optimisation to ON
Texture Filtering -Negative LOD bias to ALLOW
Threaded Optimisation ON
Vertical Sync and Triple Buffering ON

I get this if i alt tab and the game stops respoding, then responds again, just  reloadscripts and you should be good.

Ok so i did all that and it reduced the lag. But there it's stilll major. I found out i'm using  Script hook version 1.7.1.4 Beta. If i'm correct Beta is always buggy so will downgrading to a more stable version reduce the lag and become normal again?
