After the recent update I've done everything that's reccomended - I updated rph, scripthookv, scripthookv dot net, reinstalled els and all that. 

I managed to get a few hours of gameplay with no issues, but now all of a sudden my game just turns off while it's still loading. It turns out that I can launch it normally after removing the els.ini file from the directory, but I want to keep using the plugin. Pls help!!

Did you update the AdancedHook.dll included in the latest version of ELS?

I did

Rename the ELS folder to _ELS. Then try loading RPH.

now it just shows 'validating hook' for a second and turns off, I disabled my anti-virus and it still happens

Keep the ELS folder rename to _ELS. The issue you are having now is a known issue with RagePluginHook. The following workaround comes from the RPH Discord:

For those of you who experience RAGEPluginHook closing after validating system please do the following:
Add your Grand Theft Auto V folder to Antivirus exceptions and your RagePluginHook.exe, too.
Then allow it on your device if the error pops up in the right corner.

Note that it's a false positive!
 

For a quick solution if the above doesn't work, please do this after doing the previous steps:
1. Disable Windows Defender.
2. Launch RAGEPluginHook.
3. Once it passes Validating System and Grand Theft Auto V starts, re-enable Windows Defender.

 

@UnknownBastion alright, I got it to work without any ELS involved

Right now that we are past that one part, we can get back to the ELS issue. I want you to rename the _ELS back to ELS. Then have it crash and then send the ELS.log.

OK, I looked at the log myself, deleted the config for fbi2 sinced it was the last one mentioned and it worked!
