EUP Backup Configurations - Support Thread

I have the EUP ultimate backup installed so they're in the CustomRegions config and the regular folder. Literally anywhere on the map it does it but only for that specific LSPD swat. ill get my log once I get home but the unit fully dismissed is all it says when i open the console after requesting them

I think you may have your modifications mistaken. My mod does not have LSPD SWAT in the custom regions file - only LSSD (Davis Area), Del Perro, and Rockford Hills. FYI; my modification is called EUP Backup Configurations. I do not include the name Ultimate Backup anymore as that leads to constant confusion between Tom's modification and mine. What likely is happening is you possibly installed both and the files are conflicting with one another.

The first pathway is designated for Ultimate Backup, while the second one is intended for LSPDFR itself. You have to make changes to both pathways because they cater to separate plugins and function d

  • Oh, really thanks for fast answer. Now, I all understand. Youre the best🙂

Every unit has the same chances of spawning a pistol and rifle, but you can try removing the pistol (handgun) section from HRT and SRT and see if that changes anything. I think the way ultimate backup

Editing <Component id="11" inside of the outfits_usms_eup.xml file would allow you to change their shirt. Also, changing <Component id="9" would allow you to change their vest. If you use Ultimate Backup, just look for comp_shirtoverlay= to edit their shirt and comp_tasks= to edit their vest inside of the SpecialUnits.xml file.

Quick question, what do each of these categories add ? I really don't get it..Could contain: text, screenshot, font, software

Each folder is pretty much self-explanatory.

- Patrol vests + body cameras come with body cameras for all EUP peds.

- Patrol vests + body cameras + antennas have body cameras, but you can only use either body cameras OR antennas, not both at the same time. Some officers prefer to use an antenna with their radio, but because of game clothing restrictions, you can only choose one. GTA 5/EUP doesn't allow you to wear both simultaneously.

- The body cameras folder provides body cameras for all EUP peds, except for tactical uniforms, since the camera might be blocked by a bulky vest. It doesn't make sense to have them if they can't be seen on their vests.

- Standard means none of the above. It's for regular patrol duty fitted uniforms.

- No hats means no baseball caps or campaign hats on uniforms. Helmets are still allowed, but baseball caps, campaign hats, and similar headgear are not.

I hope this helps clarify what’s available in my mod. Those extra folders are just variations in playstyle. You only need to choose one, or you can try them all and see which one you prefer. There’s something for everyone since we all play LSPDFR differently with EUP uniforms.

I see, but let's say I wanna add vests with bodycams but with no hats (like in some screenshots) is there an option with that ? (If not then it's okay)

That is currently not included. Maybe someday I will add that config. Some departments like Del Perro PD don't have hats, but those that do, it's on my to-do list, but unsure when I'll get to it.

That's fine, love the new version man!

adding onto that, does the "no hats" version add bodycams for EVERY law enforcement department or is it just LSPD ?

Are Park Rangers supposed to respond for like half of the areas in Blaine County? I don't even mean like near Paleto, if I request a second unit in Harmony I almost always get Rangers. Half the time if I request a second on Senora Freeway I also get rangers.

Is this intentional? Either way, how can I fix this? I'm still pretty new to editing UB configurations and don't really know much beyond adding on vehicles.

Rangers specifically respond in the Grand Senora, designated as a national park zone. To remove the regions, you can edit the regions.xml file. Navigate to the NPS section and change "DESRT" to another department. Then, move all "DESRT" lines from CustomRegions.xml to the new department.

How many backup vehicles can you add to the config file

Could contain: text, screenshot, font

I think as many as you want, but you have to make sure all the vehicle chances together equal no more than 100%. I recommend setting each number to an even number so that you can make it easier to ensure each car spawns fairly. So if you only want 4 cars to spawn, I suggest setting the number to 25% and so on.

hey I'm running into this problem i never had where every female for department sahp, lspd, and bcso are either wearing a hat bigger than their head or are wearing completely unrelated law enforcement hats and when i looked into the female eup they don't have any law enforcement hats and either i have to find a uniform pack that replaces the model of the hat to a different hat(can't find one) or like I'm doing right now leaving as it is until i can find a solution to the "bring your own hat to work day" problem.

I see that you are using a custom EUP, and OpenIV is detecting the custom EUP pack installed in your EUP folder, which is why the hats are appearing. I recommend using one of the folders labeled 'no hats,' as that option seems best for your setup with custom EUP.
