so i pulled over a car with a unknown owner and stp told me to do a vin check but how do i do it i cant find the option anywhere

Performing a VIN Number check is an early access feature, which I presume you have based off that notification.

I believe the option resides in the Context Menu within Stop The Ped, which is accessible via 'G' by default (though check your StopThePed.ini to confirm this).

I updated STP and also can’t figure out how to check the VIN number. There is nothing in the context menu related to checking the VIN number.

i know but i dont see the option to vin check

I see. If you are standing next to the vehicle & it still doesn't appear, I would recommend reaching out via Patreon to Bejoijo because it's difficult to provide support for paywalled modifications. 😄 

Fellow bejojio patron user here. In order to check the vin, you must exit your car and walk up to the vehicle. Now, I don't quite remember but you may or may not need to get the ped out of their vehicle as well to check it. Hope this helps!

So I think the way to run the vin number is that you get the ped out of the car and then you face him and press the “E” key then when the interaction menu opens up you go to questions and go to stolen vehicle then press it then go down and it should say “vin number check press here” (or something like that) and it should be highlighted in green.

Sorry just a quick edit: you have to go to question menu and then go to documentation (not stolen vehicle) then click it then you go down and you should see that it says “vin stolen vehicle database press” then you press that and it will run the vin number. It will be highlighted in green. So do everything I said above but don’t go to the stolen vehicle menu go to the the documentation questions.

 

I believe what op is saying as I have this issue as well is that those options just plain don’t show up in any of the menus
