Single Player LSPDFR Civilian and Police Vehicles

I think this is the correct forum - I need an expert. I've gone into the handling.meta and changed:

Collision damage

Weapon damage

Engine Damage

To between to 2 and 10

Quote

<fCollisionDamageMult value="5.000000" />
      <fWeaponDamageMult value="2.000000" />
      <fDeformationDamageMult value="2.600000" />
      <fEngineDamageMult value="4.500000" />

Some of the vehicles behave the way I want - realistic damage. So if someone crashes, hits tree whatever the engine is smoking and the car is out of commission.  However, some vehicles, including police vehicles are still virtually indestructible.  It ruins my immersion. There is 50+ vehicles.meta files - I've changed them all, but still some cars are indestructible. WTF, why is that and how can I fix it?

Inside LSPDFR cars are controlled with the property Health.
It is simple to change this in a plugin.
Why the META-value is not doing what you expect is a bit strange, my guess is that you have not edited the correct file(s), ao those files are read-only, so your edits are not saved!
Thats where i would start investigating this
Check if the time-date changes when you make an edit, and check what permissions you have on these files.

Let me know if you find it interesting.

do you mean the "Overall Health" line in the Vehicles.meta file?

I'm using  Open IV in edit mode, so the files are definitely being changed.

Nono The property is for Vehicle::Entity
Eg Health is inherited from RAGE.Entity to all subclasses.
But you should not need to bother with Vehicle.Health
It should be possible to find the META, but it has to be done for each vehicle -unless you have some batch-method in Open IV(?)
Did you check the time-stamp on the files you have edited?
I know from experience that modding files sometimes will look just fine, but the second you close that file it reverts to orr. content.
Check it!
