The latest updated version of RAGE Plugin Hook, required to play LSPDFR, can be found inside the LSPDFR download. It is not currently available on the RAGE Plugin Hook website.

An exception occurred while executing ELS.asi

Hey @OfficerBenzo @Evilnoodle @Steelie and everyone, I just checked and Razed released a "v2" of his NVE (10/10/2023 version) today at 0430! I'm guessing he's received enough feedback and addressed our issues.

*UPDATE*

It's working, but something has made all texture loss/disappear for about a 6 block radius at (to include) the Rockford Hills PD area....

Sadly none of these fixed the issue for myself.  I do not use LML and never have, I do not have any custom maps or DLC addon car packs as well.  ASI loaders unloaded reloaded. NVE addons were checked

Wish I came across this thread sooner. I've had my LSPDFR game PERFECT, literally, after about 4 years of total additions and upgrading to my game along the way. Ive created dozens of backups of my game to prevent issues with Rockstar updates, and I personally have had two PC's completely fry and lost all of my GTA V mods and progress as a result, which has caused me to ensure my game is always in a perfect running state. Just the other day, I noticed the new NVE public beta release (OCT 10th), and thought nothing of it, as I figured it was nothing new to my previous NVE other than the volumetric clouds and autumn pack. BOY WAS I WRONG. I loaded up my modded GTA V version 2944 like normal, and noticed a strange issue with texture loss across numerous blocks in the Richard's Majestic district, right near the Movie studio. This annoyance caused me about 6 hours of constantly uninstalling things, til I finally gave up and reinstalled everything to the newest game version. Was able to fix the texture loss, however immediately ran into this error, as well as Openinteriors.asi errors, every time I boot up with LSPDFR. Complete bummer NVE doesnt work anymore at the moment, and Im used to wasting hours/days of time modding this game so I guess no problem. Temporarily crossing my fingers and using VisualV in hopes this gets repaired in this next public update.

Hello guys,

rename the dxgi.asi to d3d12.dll and test again.

This file is included in the nve reshade folder.

Please give me Feedback.

Hope you hit every green light for the rest of your life. Fresh installed with LSPDFR to try this, and with the compatibility patch installed, has been working awesome again on the latest ReShade, no texture loss. Thanks a ton, this needs to be pinned as its the only temporary solution I've found. Benzo might find this helpful.

My apologies, after messing with it for a short while I ended up running into the same error. It seems this did however create a temporary fix which prolonged the time it takes for me to receive the scripthook errors. It solved a few of the issues but the crashes still seem to occur and be triggered in the region near the Movie Studio. Assuming NVE or Scripthook will need an update to ultimately fix it.

I'd like to give a personal update on this. I was using a fresh LSPDFR install on the latest GTA V patch these past 2 days, but was using VisualV instead of NVE due to the asi crashes with Reshade. HOWEVER, after readding the NVE Oct 10th Update to my game today, 11/11/23, INCLUDING THE RESHADE FOLDER AND ALL FILES, Yes ALL, even the dxgi.asi, and only the LSPDFR patch-Performance boost-gameconfig optional packs, my game is performing perfectly fine in all areas of the map, Zero texture loss and ELS, OpenAllInteriors, LSPDFR, over 300 car/map mods, and all of my LSPDFR  plugins running fine with latest Reshade and NVE public release. I have not encountered an asi crash for over 3 hours on duty. The one thing I did do this time when installing NVE was removed the vfs.dll that was in my main directory. So far not an issue on this fresh install. Im happy to try and help any others get there LSPDFR and NVE game back to a running state like mine

Good evening @cPerfects, thank you for your update!
I dont have the vfs.dll file in my gta main directory. How do i get/find this file?

I found it was included with LML. I did an entire fresh install of my game, excluding my mods folder. I uninstalled VisualV, made sure my scripthook and gamconfig were the latest and working version, and tested my LSPDFR was working without NVE installed, aswell as had the default visualsettings and timecycle installed. Then today a few days later attempted a reinstall of NVE after my game was confirmed all working and fresh, and was immediately having crashes. I removed the vcf.dll file in my directory as I saw it mentioned in the NVE discord, and sure enough my game booted just fine. I have LSPDFR Preload Models on FALSE, and have all plugins load on startup. I also created a fresh LSPDFR, EUP, RagePlugin Install. So far everything works fine. So far my game has been working flawlessly again after following all those steps, and all NVE optional packs are working, but texture loss occurs without the LSPDFR patch. After some hours of personal tinkering and maybe luck, I can confirm fresh installing and not having lenny's mod loader has currently bypassed all of my SCRIPTHOOK V .asi crashes. I highly suggest looking into a fresh install of everything if you continue to face issues, sadly it is time consuming, but I was able to copy and paste a good majority of files over like my entire dlcpacks folder and trainers etc.

Two mods I noticed using LML were Coastal Callouts, and EMS callouts.

Thank you for your reply @cPerfects!
Sadly i dont use mod loader or any of the mentioned callouts. 😞

No worries, I would look into the other things i mentioned, such as trying a fresh install again, especially with base graphics, new scripthook, new els, new lspdfr and new gameconfig file. Then like me, try reinstalling your NVE once you have a working base game. Once you can get your LSPDFR and NVE working again, install your plugins few at a time, maybe even fresh installs, I can assure my game is still working for about 6 hours now with NVE, reshade, ELS, and LSPDFR installed.

I used the NVE reshade crashes as an opportunity to reinstall my entire game piece by piece, and remapped all of my plugin controls aswell. While doing this, I tested many of the plugins on my base game without NVE and came to realize all sorts of minor issues with things, and even still crashes. A fresh install of a lot of things made my modded game happy and working in unison again, and truthfully I have nearly everything installed as I did before minus some things and plugin packs I found faulty in my game files. I reinstalled all visualsettings files, reinstalled all heap and pack adjusters, made sure my betterELS v1.05 and VisualV were uninstalled, uninstalled all NVE files entirely, and redownloaded the latest GTA V Remastered and Forests of San Andreas and fresh installed them entirely on top of the things mentioned above, including LSPDFR and scripthook also. Sorry for the rant, just giving things I did because my game is now working entirely fine again and Im hoping it can help others, and the only file I found interfering with and causing the asi crashes or game crashes in general after reinstalling NVE earlier today was LML's vfs.dll.

I am afraid, that this will not work @INikYTI. I am facing the same problem, and I've already tried to reinstall NVE twice 🙂 Originally my problem was, completely missing the Rockford Hills area. I found, that I've had NVE packages duplicately defined in dlclist.xml. After I've removed duplicities, the textures are ok, but mods are crashing one by one after some time. In my opinion, this is a problem with ScriptHook, because, also campaign crashes after some time (the only difference is, that I get no error message after the campaign crashes)

I have just discovered another potential cause of the issue. For days now I have been lucky enough to have my game running well with all of my LSPDFR mods and the latest NVE/reshade. Today I attempted to install two additional DLC ELS vehicle packs, and when spawning in some of these new DLC vehicles my game ran into the CORE EXCEPTION ELS.asi crash ID 41or45 i dont remember. Uninstalled the DLC car packs I added today and left the ones I had previously and game works fine and ELS cars run fine. Check you dont have too many addons that may be conflicting or corrupting your current game build. Possibly try to check bit by bit if any of your dlcpacks Add-on items (vehicles, peds, weapons) arent conflicting with NVE right now. I dont use Menyoo, but can confirm both ELS and OpenInteriors to be working with the latest reshade/nve public release.  I unfortunately am not a developer of any kind and am just providing all solutions I have done in the last week or two to get my game back running flawlessly crash free with all my original ELS, LSPDFR, and NVE files.

I also discovered low free space on the storage my game was using was causing OPENIV to not load all files correctly. I would also like to add, the DLC vehicles I added today loaded fine without crashing until I used their proper ELS .xml file. I believe maybe something to do with the EXTRAS bumper addons or something caused NVE to conflict in a way leading to SCRIPTHOOK V CORE EXCEPTION error.

@cPerfects You sound a lot like myself with all the OCD Trial and error efforts.   I had officially given up on NVE with Reshade, totally uninstalled it.   Not great when I am partnered with Razed mods on my YouTube channel.  However, I had content to produce and I can't make content when said content crashes every 15 minutes 😄

I am willing to try and reinstall this again with the latest release.   My last attempt at this was in Early October.

Fingers crossed 🤞

Please feel free to check out my straight to the point LSPDFR TUTORIALS / LSPDFR GAMEPLAY

So my game has been running well and fine still for weeks now with all my original car mods, LSPDFR, and NVE/reshade on its latest build.

I love to check LSPDFR daily before I play and typically always install at least one modded police car or map a day, seriously. Today I just installed the new FHP pack under Vehicle Models, and decided to redownload a Sandy Shores fire station ymap I had previously installed aswell. After doing so, my game experienced random CORE EXCEPTION: ELS Error, I had ID 45, 46, 48, and even had an OpenInteriors.asi crash aswell. Comes to realize, for some reason the random Sandy Shores fire station map I put in my custom_maps folder triggered the CORE EXCEPTION crashes. Removed just the one custom map and game ran perfectly fine. I also found that one of the ELS files on one of the FHP pack vehicles I installed today was slightly corrupt, also causing these CORE EXCEPTION crashes anytime the vehicle was spawned.

Sorry for the ramble and I really wish I had better technological answers, but over the past few weeks have seriously spent an ungodly amount of hours on this. I've come to realize that for some reason on this latest Reshade and game build, some car files or dlcpacks can interfere and corrupt in odd ways. It took me 3 full days to figure out why my traffic lights in the entire Rockford Hills area weren't spawning, and to fix this I made sure all RPH plugins WERE NOT loaded at startup, and once loading into game manually loaded all plugins and forced duty.

For now, I'd highly suggest looking at your LML and associated plugins, remove your vfs.dll file, and look at your custom ELS cars and custom map dlcpacks. Most of my errors lied in these areas. I basically removed all custom maps first, checked if my game ran fine, and if it didn't I would move on and remove all my custom cars and see if that helped. My plugins loading at startup and custom maps were the two largest issues relating to texture loss, missing traffic lights, and ASI CORE EXCEPTION crashes. Some individual ELS cars were crashing my game aswell, maybe 2, and I was able to eventually diagnose which cars and simply replaced their ELS files to fix the crash issue. I can confirm some map/visuals that work fine with this NVE/reshade include OpenAllInteriors, AllPoliceInteriors Open, New Calafia Roads, Joshua Road Remastered, VisualV, GTA V Remastered, Forests of San Andreas, and all NVE optional packs aslong as LSPDFR patch is installed.

Maybe reinstall the asi loaders under ASI Manager in OPEN IV if still having issues persist.

90% of my SCRIPTHOOK ASI CRASHES were related to a single Sandy Shores Fire station ymap I had installed in my custom_maps dlcpack.

Ensuring my NVE packs weren't listed twice and were the very last lines in my dlclist.xml, with nothing loading after them, while also cutting down on the amount of custom dlcpacks i used seemed to solve all issues related to errors brought up in this thread. Lots of trial and error.
