My keybinds are just showing ", and ."

Featured Replies

Hello. I am playing GTA IV LCPDFR on Complete Edition and when keybind instructions pop up on the top of the screen, it just says , and . . Example: "Press , to arrest suspect". That is just weird and does not work. I know that this was posted in known issues, but I want to know: Is this being worked on? Is there a way to fix this? Please get back to me. Thank you in advance.

Just now, Cyan said:

No. LCPDFR is end of life, but has been open sourced for anyone else who wishes to contribute.

The original LCPDFR keybinds should work, see the documentation PDF for the correct keybinds.

Alright, is there a way to fix it ingame with some fix of some sort, so that it shows the correct keys?

Ah, searched the issue and here it is! Tried Manual Install and AutoInstall. Both give me and "," and "." keybinds. Hopefully someone makes a fix soon. It's playable, but having to guess the keys is definitely a headache.

Using the "rockstar updated" Complete Edition on Steam they gave to everyone. Is downgraded to 1.0.7.0.

Extra Information.

LCPDFR is out-dated for the .NET thingy [which is a requirement by default]. That's why you get those keybinds, though, as Cyan pointed it out, the original keybinds [found in the PDF] will work.

If you really want, you can downgrade your GTA 4. Some people said they had/have access to the original experience of LCPDFR.
