probably from the vehicle.ide. if you look in that file and find what car you replaced, the car color may be set to that.... it might be the carcol file. not sure which one

Oh, Now I get it. You have to put a background on your skin. It can't be Transparent or else the game can change the colour of it.

When you make the skin you can't just put colours and such on the picture of the car you need to fill the entire thing.

 

 

so say you have a CVPI template you see the picture of the sides back and so on, you need to fill the black far with the colour you want the car to be.

i guess you need to put the correct colors on carcols.dat on common/data folder. Check what's the color you want to have there and look for the code/number of that color, then put that on the line of the car that you have replaced with this one
