Small red dots that start a chase if I get too close?

Featured Replies

I've been playing LSPDFR for about a week, and I've noticed that even before I installed any plugins, randomly, yet commonly, there's sometimes small red dots on the minimap that are always a dark brown / black Imponte Phoenix or a dark red / black Buffalo S. If I get near these cars it'll prompt that I'm "Joining" something, and when the bar fills up then suddenly the car in question speeds off and I'm put into a chase with them.

The strange thing is that if I manage to stop them, Its ALWAYS just a driver, ALWAYS the same female Chamberlain Families-esque model, and I'm NEVER able to perform a takedown to begin arresting them. I either have to just kill them, or call backup and hope they get close enough to perform a takedown for me.

I find this annoying. I've been on the way to a different call before and all of a sudden it throws me into a chase because one of these cars were at a red light with me. Technically I could ignore it, but if I do, either it gives me the notification that there's 1 outstanding suspect, or pursuit backup manages to keep visual and I keep getting radio updates from dispatch / backup on the situation (that I didn't want to be in in the FIRST place)

Is there a way to turn these off?

Not sure if this is related to your issue as you started the video already chasing someone , but there is a option in the lspdfr.ini file located in

Grand Theft Auto V\lspdfr\ under defaults (litterly 4th line under defaults) called

Ambient.DisableEscapedSuspectEncounter = true or false

normally its set to false, change it to true and you wont get red dots that show up on your screen anymore (they are 2nd chances of people that got away from you)

try setting that and see if you still get them, if you do, then you have another script causing it
