I accidentally deleted the vehicle noises in OpenIV

Featured Replies

This happened recently when I was trying to delete a siren pack I didn't like and I accidentally deleted the vehicle noises folder, and now my sirens won't work. Is there any way I can get that folder back? I'm kind of panicking right now.

No need to panic!

  • If you deleted it from your mods folder.
    • You can go to game files (outside your mods folder) and acquire an unedited copy of the file you deleted. It will be located at the same path, just without the 'mods' part - after all, using a mods folder allows you to have backups of your vanilla files.
  • If you deleted it from your game files.
    • You can simply verify your game files & the missing file(s) will be regenerated.

I hope this puts your mind at rest. 😄

I see the vehicles.awc folder, but how can I put in my mods folder? I click "show in mods folder" but the vehicles.awc disappears.

Extract it then re-add it to your mods folder.

Omg! Thank you so much!!!

Also if you don't mind, is there a way to delete a siren pack that I don't like?
