Like the topic says. Ill get a few arrests, but pretty much any time i initiate a pursuit from the radar blip i have to run around and knock the perp over repeatedly until they get tired and eventually put hands up, then nothing. No takedown. No arrest option. No interaction options at all. The dude just stands there unless i shoot them. Often the pursuit results in no response from any AI police units. If it does, they are in full control and it doesnt register the arrest to me at all, its all them. This will also happen on plenty of standard 'request call' through the police radio.

I dont bother with being available for calls as it just completely trips over itself and spams me with calls when im in the middle of something else. I also seem to get perps driving randomly off roads and disappearing. 

Theres very little immersion or enjoyment to be had at the moment and just gets more frustrating each time i play.

Its not any other plugin or whatever, the only one i had was stop the ped recommended to me as a 'it works bro' option but actually doesnt as it interferes with LSPDFR and the stats stuff. Terminating the pursuit via the pursuit menu results in them just running away from me again cue more knocking the dude over until he gets tired again and puts hands up, then same again. nothing.

Ive read somewhere about reloadallplugins, does nothing. clearworld just deletes it all including my car, and then promptly crashes the game.

Really want to like this but every session ends with either a complete crash or crap working intermittently or not at all.

I dont use any mods or plugins other than the standard lspdfr.

Its not the PC as the machine will handle anything thrown at it, theres nothing wrong with the graphics card, i found i was getting repeated crashes from some enhanced pursuit plugin so i removed that one entirely. I dont appear to be accruing points and its not tracking crime stats. Adding API to the .ini file for lspdfr is not explained further than 'add the key to the .ini' doesnt say where at all so thats not being tracked

It seems like there are plenty of posts talking about it but no solutions.

I dont quite understand your issue, but ill tackle it, when your trying to arrest someone, are you holding a gun , are you pointing the gun at them and holding the E key (default key) (you must HOLD the E KEY not tap) while holding E, you get a red bar on the bottom right with the words of "stopping" or something like that , that has to fill all the way up and they will stop, now, if they are running away, and you try this, they will end up out of your range and the bar will not fill anymore, so what i useually do is get my tazer out, shoot them with the tazer and while they are spazzing out on the ground, aiming the tazer at them, hold E key, the bar will fill up, and cuz they are NOT running they will "STOP" now when they have their handds up walk up to them and again hold e to place them in cuffs, then to put them in your car, you need to walk to the back car door, and tap e, your charactor will open the back door, move out the way, and place the arrested person in the car

 

here is a video of my charactor arresting a person, putting in the car, driving back to the station and letting a cop take them from my car

 

as for the cars running off road (really no clue what you mean by this, as mine dont do that) i have no clue , maybe you can show a video (or even a screenshot of it happening)

I understand the holding down E thing and takedowns.

My issue is that with vanlla LSPDFR it only intermittently works. It locks up entirely leaving me with a guy standing in front of me with hands up that i cant interact with at all aside from knocking them about or shooting them, or alternatively just getting up and running off again. If ive got other cop peds in the pursuit then they ultimately catch up and arrest the guy and take off with them. It will show me with the er... not sure what to call it off the top of my head but the callout completed status where it tells you how many deceased, detained, outstanding but doesnt credit me with the arrest (obviously because i didnt make the arrest myself) - but again the tl;dr is that without extra plugins i can make one arrest as normal before the system breaks itself.

alboa arrest manager system helps somewhat overriding the.... dodgy.... vanilla arrest system which as ive said only works once per play session before locking itself up entirely but given that it hasnt been updated in ages any time you issue a summons it crashes rage entirely. StopThePed suggested to me in a previous post locked as 'solved' without any solution being posted also 'works' but is not compatible with all the LSPDR syncing/tracking at all so its kind of pointless. That being said im now able to use the mod for longer periods of time before it breaks. Same issue with Albos Computer+ thing, any time i use that it crashes as well (in my case its not a memory issue there, already read those posts re pd photos etc, doesnt make a difference at all, and all modded gameconfig.xml files ive found crash GTA entirely anyway, seems to be same issue as the court system) and as he has 'retired' from modding apparently thats not going to be fixed, the workaround for those is apparently remove those plugins, which puts me back to square one with a broken vanilla arrest management system leaving the entire mod mostly unplayable for me.

PS lol just after i posted that ive had it lock up hard looking up a name on the vanilla 'Police Computer' for the 'Warrant Arrest' event so its gotta be an issue somewhere with database handling as well as something tripping itself up with the arrest system. At least i got an hour or so play time in i guess.

hmm so you say your useing a mod? iirc all of Albo1125 mods are outdated, i know some have been updated by someone else, but i know from personal experience that thoes updates still dont work (i tryed them and they dint work for me) i switched over to BejoIjo Plugins now as i find them working better , if your useing Albo1125 plugins, i wonder if thats part of your isseue, try removing them and use bejojo's plugins insted

I did say that the takedown/arrest system is broken for me WITHOUT albos mods, they mostly work for me (except the court system does crash it which is a shame, as does the computer+ plugin) - using just vanilla lspdfr with no extra plugins causes my original issue, takedowns and arrests do not work properly for me with only vanilla lspdfr.

I will check out bejojos plugins tho.

Although today GTA got updated again which has broken the whole lot again lol so ill have to try it another day.

ok cheers so from what i can gather, vanilla is inherently broken and being updated but not being actively supported or problem solved when people report them, the albos mods which work with vanilla properly are no longer being updated, and bejojos which i havent looked for dont work with the vanilla system. Gotcha.

As i explained, when using no extra mods, its broken, cannot arrest, and if i 'terminate pursuit' i get the ol '0 detained 0 killed 0 outstanding' and they walk away, if i dont terminate a pursuit they stand there with hands up and there is no way to interact with them or IF other police peds join the pursuit get taken away by them. WITH albos mods, it fixes the arrest issue but as we both agree as theyre not being updated any more break other things.

Im guessing this will be an ongoing issue with LSPDFR, no solution will be found aside from barely making the vanilla mod work without crashing entirely so these pages get clicks, its going to be 'my fault' for reasons and i just need to stop being a whiny demanding user who totally is the only person having an issue and stop posting. (no offense to you intended by the way) 


Big shame that. Was fun for the two minutes it worked properly in the month ive been stuffing around with it. Fact is, being an adult, if youre doing life right, if youre not reporting a problem, no one knows theres a problem, if you are and the people responsible for it arent fixing it, theres generally a reason for it. *shrugs*. Im sure something in this thread will be marked as a 'solution' despite there not being one and locked as 'solved'
