Gta iv crashes at the loading (mission name) screen.

The game started crashing as soon as I got the LCPD:FR mod installed it goes through all the pictures and crashes on the loading screen, no error no nothing.

 

I ran the diagnosis tool and this is what I got, hope someone knows a fix.

Update to patch 1.0.7.0

 

So is that all? I thought this mod could run on 1.0.4.0 but whatever, Thank you.

I am having the same problem. As its loading the level it says gta has stopped responding then I close the window. I am using 10.0.7.0. Any help? (Just reinstalled the game and it's still having the same problem)

If you can post a similar error report as the guy above did we can help you, without it we cannot determine if you computer cannot handle gtaiv or if its a scripting issue..

I recommend however Manualing deleting your Gtaiv directory before uninstalling it to guarantee no corrupt files were left over.

 

IE go to C:Program Files (x86)Steamsteamappscommon and just delete Grand Theft Auto IV.

 

However on the other hand, Installing Scripts/Mods wrong, not using SparkIV or OpenIV to install Models, Textures, peds, Cars etc... Will also cause crashing by turning perfectly good files into corrupt ones. Ive spent plenty of hours troubleshooting myself. So If you can just give us a little bit more info we can easily help.

when in the directory open up these two files and copy paste them.  Scripthook and  Scripthook.net Both Are Text documents.

 

If you need any more help w/ any other issues GTAIV related and you dont want to have to wait for a reply on a random Post send me a private message and I will help what i can. I am NO Expert ive just run into allot of errors trying to teach myself how to mod gtaiv and gtaiv EFLC. This goes to anyone who may need help.
