Use a video editing software to edit the clips, then render (compile) it which will leave you with a significantly smaller file (around 700mb, I think).

 

Movie Maker, Vegas or After Effects are good for this. Learn to use them for what you want to do. The latter are payware software, mind, so you might want to use Movie Maker first just to do your specific task.
