Hello. So I am new to modding, but have installed several plugins successfully so far. I am trying my hand at cars, and it simply does not want to work for me. I have tried and tried, read many forum posts, even a few that ended with OP just saying "Nvm, I fixed it" and then no explanation as to how they fixed it. I just feel very lost and don't know where to go.

 

I am attempting to install SASP Mega Pack by Grime. I picked this pack because Benzo Effect on YouTube had a video on it, and the vehicles looked well made to me. This pack does use ELS if that matters. I also believe this is a DLC pack, not a replacement. I followed his video to a T. Whatever he did, I did it not 2 seconds later. I loaded in, tried to spawn, and the message I got in the f4 menu says "Cannot load invalid model with hash 0xb4c70f68". I do one one of the other cars in the pack, that last part changes.

 

I am still able to spawn in the base game police cars, FIB, sheriff, all that good stuff. My game does not crash, and I am able to play just fine as far as I can tell. I have checked the log, but nothing here stands out to me, just the exact same error message I saw in game.

 

I did notice a "dlc_patch" file in the update.rpf that I don't recall seeing in his video, do I need to do something with this?

 

My install location is GTAV -> mods -> update -> x64 -> dlcpacks

 

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I was able to fix this issue. The code string added to the dlclist.xml was listed as “<item>dlcpacks:/grimelspd/</item>” and it needed to be “grimestate” instead. I am now able to spawn the vehicles!

Yehp! For future reference, the dlclist.xml entry will always have to match the name of the dlcpacks folder.

Please keep in mind that my tutorial was still accurate. However, the author of the mod did change things (as in the names) after that video was released.  Sorry for the confusion.

I also noticed that my “code” was 

<Item>dlcpacks:/grimelspd/</Item

so I went ahead and changed it to

<Item>dlcpacks:/grimestate/</Itemso

after doing so my game would load

for a few and then crash every time so I don’t know what to do now.
