Hi guys,

My problem is that when I press ALT+P to start LCPDFR, I am sent to the nearest police station, and after pressing the left arrow key (right one doesn't work) I am presented with the 'Francis' model. No other on-screen directions come up and all I can do is change his jacket, it doesn't change to other models and it won't progress to the vehicle selection stage. It doesn't actually put me on duty, after I hit CTRL+DEL to de-bug it I can walk away and continue playing normal GTA IV as Francis. I have un-installed and re-installed GTA IV and re-installed LCPDFR and the patch etc. and I still have the same problem. I have tried to use the diagnostic tool but for whatever reason windows pops up with 'G17 Diagnostic Tool has stopped working' before it can finish.

Can someone please help me as I'd really love to FINALLY play some LCPDFR!

The right key usually selects the model. Have you got any programs which may be using this key?

And I think you press the up or down key to continue to vehicle selection.

The diag log looks fine.

Ah okay..I'll have to plug in another keyboard as my right key is physically broken. I pressed the up arrow key, well I pretty much pressed every button on the keyboard, but it didn't progress I think there's something a little more complicated wrong with it than that.. Maybe I could take a video at a later date to show whats going on.

Up/down didn't work? Strange.

Are you using any mods? Or a cracked GTA?

Or using mods? Mods can lower the available memory and slow down the models from loading, including peds.

I did have mods (just replaced cars) but I have since un-installed and re-installed GTA so it's clean. And I'm not sure what a cracked GTA is?

A illegal copy of GTAIV.exe downloaded from the internet.

Have you installed Microsoft .NET Framework 4 and Microsoft Visual C++ 2010.?

Are you running the game as a administrator?
