Spotlight problem

Featured Replies

So I was modeling my next release of a CVPI. I noticed when I was done(reviewing it in OpenIV), my tire(s) was....floating. So I went through, portion by portion, meaning, putting the light bar on, checking it in OpenIV...putting the rambar on then checking in OpenIV..etc. When I got to my spotlight, that is when it did this. Any clues on how to fix? I have the spotlight under Chassis_L0 in the hierarchy.

The spotlight I am using is BxBugs from GPM

Please Help! Here are pictures of what I mean!

Where are the axes for the wheelmesh when you select it in Zmodeler?

Not sure what you mean exactly (im rather new to zmod), so here is a picture of where wheelmesh is located!

Would actually love to see wheels like that no offence :)

When you hover over the object in one of the grid views, the wireframe (all the lines) should go blue, and a set of axes will display (red/green/blue right angle with arrows on it). That should be in the centre of the object.

If it isn't, in your menu go to to Display -> local axes (offset) and select 'Centre to Object', then click on the object in any of the views, and the axes should re-align. You may need to do this for the l1 too.

The hierarchy for your wheels looks alright.

e: Actually, what is the problem with the spotlight? I can't see anything. I don't see how it would be related to the wheel either. What object is the spotlight part of? It should be part of chassis_L0.

its not the spotlight that is the problem, its causing the problem. But I will try what you said out.

If the spotlight is attached to the chassis_l0 and part of that same mesh it shouldn't be causing any problems, unless the wheel is attached there too.
