Every time I go to open GTA 5, it either won't open or it says, "Check for script hook v updates?" Does anyone know a fix? I even verified the files and it's still won't launch.

 

Edit: I was going to add a video but the file size is too large.

You can do it yourself without even downloading anything by going to HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\ScriptHookV in the registry and setting the key for the latest SHV version to a UNIX timestamp a year in the future. If you don't know what those words mean, just download this file and follow the instructions.

How do I download the file? I don't see a download button.

According to the file page it no longer works.

After uninstalling GTA and LSPDFR completely, I still cannot launch it. It begins to show the red and blue police lights, then it just closes the application. Whenever I try to start the game again, it says another instance of GTAV is already active.
