Game crashes on start up screen

Featured Replies

Hi, fairly new to GTA V modding. I touched my first audio file today and now my game doesnt load. I tried putting a different siren in using Open IV, followed a very detailed video. RIght after, I tried loading the game. Did not work. I also downloaded Fire Callouts at the same time with some Firetruck mods. Not sure where it went wrong. Game won't load when I go through Steam either. Thank you in advance.

Edit: I changed my mods folder to "_mods" and it loaded. Deleted the mods that I uploaded to DLC packs before the game started to crash. Reloaded GTA through Rage, still crashes.

What am I missing?

I will try that next.

I removed the dinput8.dll and I got a "Game Memory Full" message. Not sure if that because dinput8.dll has something to do with memory or not.

I thought it loaded in Steam, but it does not. Only when mods floder is labeled _mods
