Freeze/Hang Shortly After LSPDFR Loads

Featured Replies

Hi everyone,

I'm reaching out to you guys for assitance. I've been trying to get LSPDFR running since yesterday.

Clean install of GTA V no mods or anything added.

Shortly after LSPDFR loads (approximately 2-3 minutes and that's wether I do the automatic install (which starts LSPDFR automatically when you launch RAGE) or launch the dll manually in the RAGE console, no difference) the game will freeze/hang. I'd like to specify that it's not my entire computer that locks up but only GTA V. I feel it's also important to note that in regular story mode I can play for hours without a single hiccup. Even in regular story mode with RAGE plugin hook running (without LSPDFR loaded) the game has zero issues.

I've tried setting the plugintimeout to 60000 and preloadallmodels to false however it makes no difference.

Here's a link my log file hoping someone might be able to take a look and recommend a solution.

Thanks!

You are running quiet an old version of both GTA and RPH. You need to update those before we can continue troubleshooting.
To force GTA to update delete your gta5.exe then verify your game.
then Update LSPDFR/RPH https://bit.ly/3A9CIhX
DOWNLOAD THE "MANUAL INSTALL" VERSION, copy and paste EVERYTHING in the zip except for the licenses and lspdfr folders (you can ignore them) into your main GTA directory.

I can guess your reason for why you're on such an old version of the game.

Regardless; I'm afraid it won't work, LSPDFR uses memory hooking and part of this hooking effort involves patterns. These patterns change sometimes between game versions. From your log, you can see at least one pattern fails outright:

[7/31/2022 5:21:35 PM.976] LSPD First Response: [WARN] Failed to resolve PM_3

There's also other, odd issues happening:

[7/31/2022 5:21:52 PM.545] LSPD First Response: [WARN] Object reference not set to an instance of an object.

[7/31/2022 5:21:52 PM.545] LSPD First Response: [WARN] Enhanced pause menu functionality disabled.

This doesn't even include patterns which resolve, but to the wrong thing. For these, you're likely to experience crashes or non functioning behavior. There's also the fact that some offsets have also changed since and these not matching can cause critical bugs (like cops simply not shooting).

TL;DR; you will need an updated version of RPH&GTA V&LSPDFR
