Weird textures?

Featured Replies

Good evening, my game has weird textures that are flat and pixelated when i look from certain ways and it is quite frustrating. I have the latest graphics driver but I'm not sure what to do. Any help would be much appreciated.

This is texture loss; the first step before making any changes to your game is going to the lspdfr.ini and setting Main.PreloadAllModels = false.

I have already done that but it does not help.

That means your PC cannot handle the game with all the mods you've installed so far.

My best suggestion is to remove any HD texture mods, and vehicles that have 4K liveries.

Other than that, consider upgrading your PC if you want a better experience.

I would personally disagree. You shouldn't be piling your game with 4K or even 8K textures.

However, these are both personal preference and ultimately you can do steps in whichever order if you prefer one over another. 🙂

Another thing to check would be the polygon count of vehicles; generally, over 200,000 and you may start to see texture loss creep in.

Alright, i will use these ideas and see if they work, if they don't, I may consider upgrading. Thanks for all the answers.

Update: I have alot of high poly cars, I will consider changing them to different cars or doing some thing to them.

I intend to keep most of my cars but alot of them have a poly count of above 200,000. All the other WAPOL ones are a very high poly count and I managed to find only 2 that were actually good and have a reasonable poly count. Does anyone know a way to get the poly count down or do I have to get new cars.

Eric

Ultimately it's just finding new vehicles.

It's the models themselves.

However, you can always leave this step till last to see if finding new vehicles is needed. 🙂

Thanks for the help, I will probably end up finding new vehicles as since I replaced one of my higher poly vehicles, my game has been having alot less of those texture losses. Along with that, I will consider toning down my mods in the Blaine County region as I have installed the big forests and that's where I experience my texture losses more commonly.
