LSPDFR crashing when loading pathfinding data

Recommended Posts

Hello,

for whatever reason and Idk why that is, my LSPDFR will crash whenever it tries to load pathfinding data from the LSPDFR/data/AI folder.

here is the steps I have tried to take to try to resolve this issue, so far none have worked and result in LSPDFR still crashing:
1. Updating LSPDFR and RPH to latest hotfix version (12/19/2021)
2. Deleting LSPDFR and doing a fresh/clean install of LSPDFR
3. Removing LSPDFR and plugins folder and starting my game with a fresh install of LSPDFR
4. Removing any mods (station mods) that may interfeer with pathfinding

I know for sure that the following is not crashing my LSPDFR:
1. Base GTA (this loads perfectly and will run without rph just fine)
2. Non-RPH plugins such as siren settings limit adjuster, Heap adjuster, etc
3. Game config (it has been updated to the latest version for the latest game update)
4. game trainers such as trainer-v
5. scripthook-v and ragenativeui.dll

I have no idea what is causing this issue and I wish I did, I will attach my latest RPH crashlog for your review, thank you to any and all support agents who view my ticket

Have you tried renaming your mods folder to _mods, entirely disabling it?

it's not my game or my mods, it's lspdfr specifically, but yes I did try that and lspdfr still crashes. The issue is with lspdfr itself

im having the same issues, I removed all the mods and I think LSPDFR is causing it, and it just crashes, it has to be LSPDFR cuz it was just working 15 minutes ago. Have you tried the new scripthookv? I think they just re released, I might go and try that now.

did scripthook v release a new update within the last week?

Also, yes I do have the latest scripthookv

non-lspdfr/rph mods are not the issue, neither are any lspdfr plugins, it is lspdfr itself.

hmm, I overheard them say that, they might not have but the most recent one was the 20th. I've just came back to modding since like 2 or 3 years ago I stopped believe it or not. I still believe that it's LSPDFR not anything else, I may be wrong, but I'll keep checking back to see if anyone else can solve this, I do not know but LSPDFR has done this often lately. Can you send over the LSPDFR logs?

where do I find the specific lspdfr log?

Or do you mean like the rph log? Because I've already sent over my latest rph log when I created this thread.

The reason I'm asking is something is clearly different about your setup as LSPDFR does not encounter this for me and the 1,000+ others playing LSPDFR at the moment. The difference is what we would need to establish for any hopes of your issue being fixed.

Unless you are also seeing the pathfinding Invalid Node ID error, please stick to your own thread.

I don't see anything specifically about my setup compared to everyone else because all I have in my install of lspdfr right now is:
- LSPDFR
- RPH
- TrainerV
- Heap_adjuster
- Siren Settings Limit Adjuster
- Packfile limit adjuster
- Latest modified gameconfig for limitless vehicles
- ScripthookV
- RagenativeUI (latest version)

there are no other scripts/plugins that are in my lspdfr to interfere with it, I don't even have dls or eupmenu put in my plugins folder right now or even an LSPDFR folder in my plugins folder.

Literally this is the process for my gta when I go to play it:
- Load GTA through steam and enter storymode
- Wait for game to fully load and spawn in trevor (I'm currently just after the vangelico heist and after trevor discovered Michael being alive)
- ALT-Tab and load RPH
- Load LSPDFR

under normal circumstances my LSPDFR will load just fine and I'm able to go on duty and play no problem, but since this issue, while loading LSPDFR it crashes just after switching the character to a new one and adding the stats to the character and then freezing for a minute or so before crashing on pathfinding data.

As far as anything interferring with LSPDFR, I don't believe there is anything specifically interfering with it because the only thing that could maybe interfere with it is SPV but even that is only being used by TrainerV, I don't even have any other SPV mods in my gta directory.

Can someone explain here that what exactly is the condition of throwing an ArgumentException for invalid node id?

Supporting is somewhat like locating an issue, then trying to apply a protocol that would eventually guide the subject to fix their game, and sometimes, on rare occasions, trying to diagnose a weird issue with everything you know.

iirc it means the game is presenting a pathfinding node that we do not expect. I've only seen it happen with maps mods and the Cayo Perico Island DLC (iirc this is because the game practically puts the new island on top of the existing map, by unloading the main game map), however the Cayo Perico Island DLC issue was fixed.
I cannot replicate the issue on my end, unfortunately.
