AFTER UPDATE - CRASH BEFORE GAME WINDOW SHOWS UP

Featured Replies

Hi there, I have been updating my GTA V with the newest LSPDFR 0.4.9 as well as the new ScripthookV that has just been updated 13 hours ago. I installed both lspdfr and scripthookV to the GTA V directory folder.

However, once I started the game from RagePluginHook, the message "connecting to rockstar game services" shoots up as usual but after that nothing happens. The game window didn't show up. I've tried launching directly from steam and from rockstar launcher and both also experienced the same thing.

I've tried verifying the game integrity and it is fine. The gtav.exe file is also the newest 2545 version. Please can anyone help me with this?

@OfficerChris1I tried starting it from steam and the problem persists.

But after I reinstalled the game and delete all the mods I have (including LSPDFR), it works. But if I add the mods (including LSPDFR) to the reinstalled game folder again, the problem reappears.

@OfficerChris1yes I have gta, rph, lspdfr installed. No, I cannot start gta alone.

When I remove rph and lspdfr, the game also doesn't starts.

When I remove the game as well (the whole game folder) and reinstall it without mods or lspdfr. It works. But after I installed the mods again, the problem comes back.

ok, i think I get it.

i think, the problem is propably in your mods stuff.

first try renaming your mods folder to  _mods and start gta.

if still problem, try the following:

i would suggest you remove all files (lspdfr, rph, mods), so that you only have your default gta files. (you can google gta or default vanilla files, watch out which version you have... epic games, steam, or other)

then check if gta starts

if yes install only lspdfr with rph and start that.

if that works, its logic the problem is in your mods or added files.

i will be back tomorrow. good night

Thanks for all the suggestions!

@OfficerChris1yes I think the problem is somewhere in my mods folder. I've actually reinstalled my GTAV and reinstalling just the essential mods one by one. It works. So I'm not sure which file is crashing the game as I've deleted all my mods and reinstalling it.

@Alex_Ashfold I remember I used LML mod manager for some of my mods. I actually haven't reinstalled those mods and haven't used LML mod manager since I reinstall GTAV in a clean slate. As far as I am aware, the game works fine with some of the essential mods (bejoljo, EUP, ELS, etc.) post reinstalling it. Probably the problem lies with LML.
