Texture Loss

Featured Replies

I am getting alot of texture loss whenever I have several Law Enforcement vehicles spawned within close proximity, all of which are modded replacement vehicles. If there isn't many around other my own I have no issues but soon after I call for several units of backup I start getting increasing levels of pops. I cannot figure out the problem. Yes, I have Main.PreloadAllModels set to false and yes I have downsized all the vehicle textures so that they are all under the 25 MB cap, most of them aren't even at 20 MB. I've tried turning down some setting in graphics yet I'm still getting texture loss. Plus I'm running a brand new RTX 3070 so I doubt PC constraints are an issue. I have the latest versions of Natural Vision Evolved and LA Revo installed so I'm wondering if those might have something to do with it. Any ideas or advice would be much appreciated.

Hello! Reduce the quality of textures in the game settings. In general, NVE and LA Revo are poorly optimized, so the problems due to these mods are 1000%

Did you have any problems like this? https://streamable.com/13r8t7

what i useually do is open the texture file (ytd file) in openIV and extract all the textures (as png) then i use a program that can edit png files, and what i do is resize the image to 50% of the orginal (or more , depending on the image) i remember hearing from a video i saw on youtube saying that the max size for a vehicle should be no more then 15mb (model + texture directory) (here is that video

since you said most are close to 20mb i'd suggest reducing them more , try getting them under 15mb and see if you still have the issue

Well for anyone that is still struggling with this i solved my issue. Turns out it was the simplest and dumbest problem. I turned down my textures quality in the main GTA graphics settings and all my texture loss completely disappeared. 🤦‍♂️

How low did you have to turn yours? I set mine to high and still it didn't fix it when there were more than like 5 police cars on scene.
