ELS NOT WORKING FOR ME!!!!!

Featured Replies

I have never been able to get any ELS car to work and I really want to use them. I have watched ever ELS tutorial out there and did everything exactly as instructed. I have followed countless video instructions on how to properly install the cars and where to put files. The cars show but lights never worked. I then went through the whole suggested "uninstall ASI manger, reinstalling, and then restarting the PC". Lights still don't work. Any suggestions? Would the radiance mod have anything to do with it?

I now have script hook installed. The menu works fine but still no luck on getting lights to work.

If you got an ELS car, click J for primary lights and 1 2 3 for the sirens. Some cars have extra functions under K and Alt + [

Also, make sure all the ELS VCF's are in pack_default in the ELS directory.

Sounds like your ELS is corrupted, don't think it's meant to do that unless i'm wrong. But hey, if it works, it works? Try the number key for siren tones though.

Spoiler

For me J just turns the siren on or off. E is the button that turns on the lights. I have also made sure that VCF's are in the pack default. In addition I have tried the asi loader uninstall and reinstall with restarting my computer trick. I have followed all the tutorials to a T. However, the tail lights are the only thing that work, other lights may kick on but get stuck and dont move. This is with 20 different packs that I've tried.

Have you tried:
A) A custom gameconfig
B) Installing the ELS OIV file again

I have not tried a custom game config. But are you saying there is an ELS install that can be used with package installer? Because I have uninstalled and reinstalled ELS many times by dragging the ELS folders to the GTA main directory.

Oh, there is no OIV package for ELS. I forgot since I installed it a few months ago and thought there was one. Woops lol.
I do recommend you get a custom gameconfig, sometimes it helps.

(i recommend the 2x vehs 2x peds version)

I was able to get my ELS to work. However, radiance V8 is not work specifically on my ELS cars. I did adjust the shadow quality and all which made the lights look a lot better but it made my game incredibly laggy. How do I get radiance to work on my ELS cars?

So something not a single tutorial told me was that you HAVE to download ScriptHookV BEFORE ELS. It's annoying no one mentions it in tutorial videos because it is essential for ELS to work. You'll want to download The scripthook, then ELS, and then the car model you want. After that uninstall and reinstall the ASI manager then restart your computer. After that it should work. '1', '2', and '3' control the lights.
